Terms of use

Draft v2 — prepared in-house; attorney review is scheduled before the paid launch.

Version 2.0 Effective: [operator-confirm: launch date]

These terms are between you and [operator-confirm: Sai Arun Labs] ("SEE", "we", "us"). They govern your use of SEE.

Agreeing to these terms

In short: creating an account requires ticking a box to agree, and we record the version you accepted and when.

Creating an account requires ticking an unticked box confirming that you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy, and then creating the account. Those two actions together are your agreement. We record the version of these terms and of the privacy policy in force at your acceptance, and when you accepted them. If you do not agree, do not use SEE.

What SEE does

In short: SEE checks spends your agents propose against limits you set, and seals a receipt for every checked spend.

SEE only covers money your agents spend. You set permission slips — the limits for each agent. Your agents ask SEE before they spend. Spends inside your limits go ahead; spends above the amount where you want to be asked wait for your decision; spends outside your limits are stopped where SEE does the checking, and recorded where it can only record them. Every checked spend is kept as a sealed receipt.

SEE can only check a spend that an agent presents to it for checking. A spend an agent makes without asking SEE first is not covered by SEE, and SEE cannot stop it.

What SEE is not

In short: not a bank, not a payment service, not money transmission, and not artificial intelligence.

Your account

In short: adults only, a real email address you control, and your password and keys stay secret.

Permission slips are yours

In short: only you can make or change a slip; an agent cannot change its own limits.

Only you can make or change a slip. An agent cannot change its own limits, and neither can anyone holding an agent's key. Changing a slip creates a new version; receipts always point at the version they were checked under. You can pause all agent spends, or end a slip, at any time. Pausing or ending never deletes past receipts.

Your decisions

In short: when a spend waits for you, tapping the button that states the amount is your decision — and your signature for it.

When a spend is waiting for you, the Allow button states the amount — "Allow $120", for example. Tapping it is your decision to authorise that spend, and you agree that your tap is your electronic signature for that approval. "Don't allow" ends that spend. Both outcomes are recorded as yours. By using SEE you consent to transacting with us electronically. SEE carries out your slips and your decisions; it does not second-guess them.

Agents and the API

In short: if you connect an agent or build on the API, checking first and honouring a refusal are conditions of use. Other people's agents are not ours.

What a checked receipt proves — and what it does not

In short: a receipt proves its record is unchanged since sealing. An approval is proven once the record of it sits inside a checked checkpoint. Nothing about whether the purchase was a good idea.

A receipt that checks out proves the record is exactly what was sealed: the amount, the agent, the slip version, and the decision, unchanged since sealing. Who allowed a spend is proven when the record of that approval is covered by a checkpoint that itself checks out; until then the approval is recorded but not yet proven, and the receipt says so. The sealing time is witnessed by a timestamp authority outside SEE whenever one is reachable; if neither timestamp service can be reached, the receipt carries our own clock instead and labels itself that way. A timestamp shows that a record's fingerprint existed by that time; it does not prove when the underlying purchase happened.

It does not prove that a purchase was wise, lawful, or good value, that anything was delivered, or that a seller is honest. The seller name, description, and completion details on a receipt are what the agent reported to us.

Checking a receipt is free, and stays free. The checking method is published, and exported receipts keep checking even if SEE shuts down.

Acceptable use

In short: use SEE for your own agents' spends, lawfully, and do not send card numbers or credentials into it.

Do not use SEE to:

We may suspend accounts that break these rules.

Our intellectual property, and yours

In short: the service is ours; your data stays yours.

Plans, fees, and subscriptions

In short: the free plan needs no card. Paid plans state their price and renewal terms before you subscribe, renew until you cancel, and cancel in your account — the same place you subscribed.

The free plan

SEE has a free plan. It does not require a payment card, and it never converts into a paid plan on its own: becoming a paid customer always takes a separate subscription step, described below.

Paid plans and renewal

Founding members

The founding offer is a capped cohort, billed annually. Founding members keep their founding price for as long as they stay subscribed. If a founding subscription lapses or is cancelled and is later restarted, the then-current price applies. When the cohort fills, the offer ends.

Cancelling

You can cancel in your account, through the same kind of step as subscribing — no phone call, no message to us, and no obstacle screens. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for. Fees already paid are not refundable except where the law requires it.

If things go wrong

In short: the service is provided as is. Our liability is capped at what you paid us in the last 12 months — and never includes the amount of an agent spend itself.

SEE is provided "as is". We work to keep it running and correct, but we do not promise that it will never be interrupted or error-free, and we give no warranties beyond those the law requires.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for anything arising from SEE is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim; if you are on the free plan, that limit is US$100. We are never liable for the amount of an agent spend itself — that money is yours, it moves outside SEE, and it is not ours to repay. Neither side is liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, and nothing limits either side's liability for fraud.

You will cover claims against us that arise from your agents' acts and purchases, the limits you set, or data you send us in breach of these terms — for example, card numbers. If the SEE service itself is found to infringe someone's intellectual property, we will cover the resulting claims against you for using it as intended.

Arbitration and class-action waiver — please read

In plain terms: if we have a dispute we cannot settle, it goes to one arbitrator rather than a judge or jury, and not as a group claim. You may opt out within 30 days, as described below. Small claims court stays available to both of us.

Most disputes between us will be resolved by binding individual arbitration, not in court, and neither of us may bring or join a class action or any other group claim.

Ending things

In short: you can stop at any time; we can suspend accounts that break these terms; exported receipts keep checking even if SEE shuts down.

You can stop using SEE at any time, and you can ask for your account to be deleted as described in the privacy policy. We can suspend or end an account that breaks these terms, or where we must for legal or security reasons. If SEE itself shuts down, exported receipts still check — they are built to outlive us — and we will give as much notice as we reasonably can on this site.

Changes to these terms

In short: material changes take effect for you only after you accept the new version.

New versions appear on this page with a new version number and effective date. If a change is material — to prices, liability, arbitration, or how we handle your information — it applies to you only after you have accepted the new version when asked; if you do not accept, the previous version continues to govern, or you may close your account. Other changes take effect when posted. We keep earlier versions and will send you a copy of any earlier version on request.

Governing law

In short: North Carolina law.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, USA [operator-confirm]. Disputes that are not arbitrated will be heard in its state or federal courts [operator-confirm].

General

In short: the standard machinery — these terms are the whole agreement, and if one part fails, the rest stands.

These terms, together with the privacy policy, are the whole agreement between us about SEE. If a part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still stands, and the unenforceable part is read as narrowly as possible. Not enforcing a term once is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your account or these terms without our consent; we may transfer them in connection with a sale of the business, and will note it on this site. Because the service sends no email, we give notices in your account and on this site.

Contact

In short: one address for questions; security reports have their own.

Questions about these terms: [operator-confirm: support@saiarunglabs.com]. Our contact page has the details, including a separate address for security reports.
